The Shire of Northam is excited to offer the opportunity to join our team as the point of contact for staff in relation to safety. The successful candidate will drive existing processes, ensuring compliance whilst also striving to improve our safety systems. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive difference to the overall safety of the organisation and to encourage staff to embrace our positive safety culture.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in WHS regulations and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation to situations within the workplace
- The ability to find workable solutions to safety related problems whilst ensuring compliance
- A basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office
