Cairns Surf Life Saving Supporters Association is looking for a Club Manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Club.
About the Role
Reporting to the President and Management Committee, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial management of the Club in all departments including bar, bistro, events and gaming. In addition, the successful applicant will be responsible for staff management and development, rosters, functions, promotions and marketing activities and making recommendations to the Committee regarding the strategic direction of the Club. The successful candidate will be required to/ willing to work in front of house roles in the bar and/ or bistro on a regular basis.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Formal qualifications in Hospitality Management, or a similar standard of training, or equivalent experience and skills deemed by the employer as suitable for the position.
- Responsible Management of a Licensed Venue, Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Service of Gaming and a current gaming license is required (or must be obtained within 1 month of commencement).
- At least five years’ practical experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry (bar, bistro and gaming) involving computerised operating and accounting systems and management.
- Experience in Microsoft Office is essential and front and back of house experience in Tyro / similar merchant payment systems will be highly regarded.
The role is available for commencement immediately.
Full time position. The successful applicant will be required to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
