Flavorite is undergoing a high level of growth and now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced OHS Advisor to join our Human Resources department.


About the role

The OHS Advisor supports the business in OHS activities across the Northern Flavorite sites, specifically reviewing and advising on OHS legislation and best practice to achieve business objectives. This role primarily delivers operational OHS advice and the provision of a full range of OHS services and activities to managers and supervisors across the Tatura, Katunga and Mansfield sites. Duties include:

  • Maintain occupational health and safety systems
  • Creation and management of risk assessments, SOP’s and SWMS
  • Assist management with investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, possible causes and recommend remedial action
  • Undertake workplace inspections to ensure safety regulations are being met and identify hazards and risks
  • Promote occupational health and safety and develop safer and healthier ways of working
  • Receive, process and action all reports of near miss, injury/incident and hazards, ensuring documentation is properly completed and follow up action undertaken
  • Conduct site safety inductions
  • Implement OHS policies, practices and procedures, and ensure compliance with legislation
  • Analyse and recommend training requirements to enhance employee safety and performance


To be successful you will need

  •  Extensive practical experience with OHS in a similar industry
  • Qualification in OHS, Business, HR or similar
  • A demonstrated understanding of current OHS legislation
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite
  • High level organisational skills
  • High level of ethics, honesty and integrity
  • Ability to influence, counsel and mentor
