We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our head office in Point Cook. This role will have you become an integral part of a team managing payroll functions ensuring payroll processes run smoothly and accurately on a weekly basis. Joining a small but growing team, you will display a high level of professionalism and engagement in systems, with the ability to link accurate payroll processing to operational enhancements as part of your normal function.
The role that will suit a highly organised and multi-faceted operator, with a focus on delivering best practice, and continuous improvement ensuring the ongoing health of a growing organisation.

You will be afforded ongoing training both internally and externally on all payroll and software functions.

Core Responsibilities:

o Administer and run end to end payroll function including employee expenses, salary sacrifice, termination payments.
o Interpretation of Awards and EBA’s
o Maintaining the payroll database on a regular basis by updating pay rules in line with award interpretation
o Onboarding of all new employees to payroll system
o Aid in the preparation of wage increases and implementation across all databases
o Provide advice to clients and staff in accordance with award interpretations and respond to payroll queries

Other Requirements

o Prepare reports on all tax obligations including PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation contributions for outsourced finance partners
o MYOB data importing for reporting and reconciliation
o Prepare both adhoc and regular reports for clients and internal management as required
o Manage employment compliance and perform quality control checks regularly
o Manage reporting for Labour Hire licensing
o Adhoc reporting as required by clients and management

Skills & Experience

• Experience processing payroll in a labour hire/recruitment environment (advantageous)
• Experience in using Payroll Software (Astute Payroll)
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
