The Opportunity:

Centr is looking for a capable and process-driven Human Resources Advisor to join the team in our Richmond office. The HR Advisor is responsible for providing HR advice to managers and employees, facilitating and improving HR processes. They will take full responsibility for managing full lifecycle recruitment activities including advertising, proactive search, short-listing, screening candidates, arranging and assisting managers with interviews, closing roles and staff onboarding.

This is a permanent, part-time opportunity. We are happy to offer flexible hours/days for the right candidate. This role is designed to work for you as either 0.6 or 0.8 FTE, with your hours divided across 3-5 days. We offer workplace flexibility, with hybrid working options available (you can split your hours between home and the office!).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely generalist HR advice and support to our managers and staff, on policy and procedure matters
  • Oversee full lifecycle recruitment activities, including job briefs, creating and posting adverts across a range of job boards, short-listing and phone screening applicants, arranging interviews, providing feedback and managing candidate offers and rejections
  • Managing candidate background checks and onboarding processes
  • Support the business with the resolution of employee complaints and grievances
  • Coach, support and develop line managers to effectively manage employee performance
  • Support the business with a range of HR initiatives including EVP review, performance reviews and salary benchmarking

The successful candidate will have:


  • Prior experience in comparable role and relevant tertiary qualifications
  • A thorough understanding of HR administrative processes
  • Previous experience in partnering and coaching senior leaders in the accurate and fair application of HR processes and legislation
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes from job brief to candidate onboarding
  • Experience advising senior leaders on best practice recruitment processes
  • Experience writing and posting adverts on a range of job boards including Seek, Indeed and LinkedIn
  • Experience managing relationships with external recruitment partners


  • Prior HR experience in a start-up or tech company
  • Experience with award interpretation is highly advantageous
  • Experience utilising third-party recruitment systems (such as LinkedIn Recruiter or Seek Talent Search) to source and engage with potential candidates
  • Experience of collaborating with senior leaders to assess future talent needs and build talent pipelines
