The Role

As the Finance Manager, you will report to the Head of Finance, and will play a vital role in improving and maintaining the financial standing of this growing FMCG business. 

This role will assist with the development & implementation of the financial strategy and adherence to policy and reporting, assisting the appropriate funding and managing financial risks in the organisation.

The Finance manager will ensure reporting is clear, concise and accurate to ensure the group has the cash and liquidity to meet ongoing obligations, budgeting and reporting, general finance accounting and balance sheet management, tax, payroll, accounts and compliance matters.

This role will support the functional heads of the organization in the planning & execution of the financial requirements with regular review.

The finance manager will drive the administration of the finance function in support of sales and Operations and play a key role in the Integrated Business Management (IBM) process via partnering and reporting of functional finances.
Core responsibilities will include:
  • Managing daily cash balances;
  • Prepare and present financial reports for senior executives, board members and investors
  • Working with executives and business heads to prepare budgets and track profit / loss
  • Oversight and responsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Creating solutions to new financial challenges by applying financial/treasury knowledge
  • Taking responsibility for, and supervising the work of, more junior members of staff – Financial Accountants, AR, AP & Payroll. 
  • Preparing financial reports and submissions to relevant government entities
  • Managing financial audits and reviews with third party auditors as required
  • Undertaking weekly bank reconciliations
  • Manage payroll and MPF matters for Company, business units and subsidiaries
  • Driving the annual budgeting process
  • Driving year-end audit preparation
  • Preparing financial projections for organisation and related business ventures
  • Work closely with sales & operations to drive profitability into the business. 

What you’ll need to bring to the table
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience, ideally in FMCG or with FMCG clients (if from a professional services background) with a strong background in financial analysis and Finance Control & administration
  • Integrated ERP software experience with strong Excel skills. 
  • Strong blend of technical BAU skills and commercial acumen
  • Business partnering & stakeholder management skills.
  • CPA/CA or similar. 
  • (ASX Experience is NOT a pre-requisite)
  • Whilst open to all candidates, this role is well suited to an experienced accounting professional who is looking to step up into their first Finance Manager role.
