What is the role?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Global Accountant is responsible for a variety of operational and strategic facets within their role, taking ownership of our Global Accounting function to ensure a seamless, efficient and quality process is upheld at all times.

Key areas of responsibility include Accounting, Payroll and Reporting.

  • Preparation of Monthly Management Reports;
  • Processing of Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
  • Processing and reconciliation of supplier’s invoices and accounts
  • Preparing and posting supplier payments, including international foreign currency payments and sending remittances advice
  • Review credit card reconciliation process
  • Bank account maintenance including reconciliation of daily cash transactions
  • Process General Ledger Journals including accruals, amortisation and prepayments
  • Preparation of Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations;
  • Process monthly payroll for all Australian employees
  • Examining expenses submitted by employees
  • Preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS and payroll tax returns
  • Preparation of monthly cash flow forecast
  • Assisting with schedules and other information required by the company’s auditors
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Posting of intercompany expense allocations and monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial processes and systems
  • Ensure month end journals, work papers and reconciliations are timely and accurate
  • Identifying and implementing efficiencies with current processes and procedures
  • Adhoc financial reporting as the business requires

So, who are you?

You could be our Global Accountant!

With 4+ years of experience in a similar role within an FMCG or beauty brand (advantageous), you have a keen interest and excitement for the beauty category backed by a bachelor’s degree in accounting/ finance, and your CA/CPA.

You have sound knowledge of the Australian Accounting standards, with experience using Xero Accounting software.

You have demonstrated experience working with the Finance FP&A function of a business, with key skills in business partnering, financial reporting, month end, invoicing, accounts receivable/ payable and ideally some experience in inventory.

With strong time and project management skills, you can thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment. You have intermediate excel skills and enjoy analysing information with your detailed approach and financial acumen.

You are hyper organised with strong business partnering skills – you can clearly express ideas, information, and updates to key internal and external stakeholders, collaborating and negotiating effectively to manage expectations and ensure financial excellence.
