Payroll Officer – Payroll Accounting

About the role

Due to our expanding business, we have an opportunity for a full time permanent Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Accounting team based out of the corporate head office in North Sydney.

Our payroll team is made up of 3 distinct teams, data management, payroll processing and payroll accounting. We have identified new positions in the payroll accounting team responsible for the payroll process after the payroll has been run.

Your responsibilities

  • Statutory payments
  • Reconcile and lodge payroll tax submissions monthly (individual return required for each ABN by state)
  • Reconcile SCG and salary sacrifice contributions and process high volume of superannuation funds
  • Reconcile and lodge monthly PAYG returns
  • Maintain records for reporting and 3rd party reconciliation and payments, portable LSL fund payments, redundancy fund payments, union fees, etc.

About you

  • Substantial experience as a Payroll Officer within a high-volume payroll environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel
