About the role

Based in our CBD located Head Office – with a flexible work pattern available; we are looking for a Senior Financial Anayst to join our team in a newly created role. This role would see you work as part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team providing financial, strategic, analytical and reporting support in connection with ‘strengthen the core’ operating initiatives and targeted growth opportunity. Other key responsibilites of this role include; 

  • Designing, developing, implementing and maintaining flexible financial models to support business and investment case decision making
  • Supporting GrainCorp Finance teams in developing and rolling out new ways of working through technology enablement (TM1, Power BI etc.) 
  • Preparation of presentations, briefs/cases and plans to support identification and development of opportunities
  • Support adhoc business modelling and analysis for CFO, GM Commercial Finance, Commercial Finance Managers and Senior Management
  • Assess and maintain a database of key business drivers and rate assumptions to support reporting and modelling outcomes

About your experience

Our successful candidate will be a ‘go-getter’ who has the ability to work in an environment that is at times ambiguous. You will have strong strategic analysis and planning skills and a sound business acumen. 

Other key skills we value are;

  • Independent skills to research and to access internal & external information 
  • Sound attention to detail 
  • Advanced-level Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Superior skills in financial analysis – particularly in Power BI/TM1 (highly regarded)
  • Solid understanding of financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Statements)
  • Understanding of financial concepts & analysis methods (e.g. DCF, NPV, WACC, ROCE)
  • Problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to develop innovative and practical solutions
