Great opportunity to join a well-established medium sized national manufacturing Company that supplies a range of steel building product and accessories (residential, commercial, industrial) into the marketplace. Providing tailored solutions to their customers and committed to delivering a quality range of made to order products, the company focuses on ensuring they meet their customer expectations by providing an exceptional service.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, and working in a small finance team, you will be responsible for the full function as it relates to Accounts Receivable and Credit Management.  This will entail liaising effectively with all Departments of the business to achieve all duties associated with this position.  Duties include:  

  • Accounts Receivable – allocation of cash receipts, processing and administration, customer account reconciliations, processing credit note claims etc
  • Debt collection
  • Managing and resolving customer queries
  • assisting with cash flow forecasting
  • Completion of month end activities and reports
  • reviewing and recommending risk management actions in response to customer account reviews
  •  Process and follow up new credit applications, set up new customer accounts, monitor credit limit and liaise with HO about insurance
  • General administration / activities as it relates to finance and general administration support – part of being a contributing positive team member in the business

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a medium volume Accounts Receivable (3+ years) environment – ideally within a manufacturing environment within the building industry.
  • Experience in Credit control and Management (3+ years)
  • Strong computer literacy – Microsoft office applications including Excel & ERP systems ie PRONTO ideally, but not essential.
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong numerical acumen
  • Ability to apply logic and reasoning 
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills 
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written 
  • Professional presentation and manner  
  • Adaptive, Resilient. Show initiative. 
  • Able to work autonomously as well as in a small team
  • Stable work history 
  • Qualifications well regarded, but not essential
