Qualifications & experience

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in an accounting firm within the business services division
  • Must be CA/CPA qualified; or working toward becoming qualified
  • Have experience in the preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies in wide range of industries, along with all common reporting requirements for small and large entities
  • Have experience in the preparation of FBT returns, BAS’s and payroll tax
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player, hardworking and professional

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage all assigned clients and the relationships to a professional standard
  • Provide exceptional technical advice and quality service in person, via email or telephone
  • Prepare financial statements including BAS & IAS
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and superannuation funds
  • Liaise with external parties on clients’ behalf eg. ATO, SRO, financial advisors, banking institutions, real estate agents, property valuers and solicitors
  • Preparation of income tax elections
  • Income tax planning
  • Assist on projects as requested by the Directors including research cases, income tax, GST rulings and section legislation
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development sessions
  • Miscellaneous administration duties
