Head of Finance / COO at Cameron Recruitment Pty Ltd

• COO + Head of Finance role
• Report to the CEO and Group Chairman
• $225k + Super

Our client is a medium-sized and expanding investment and superannuation business. They have experienced rapid growth over the last few years and this is anticipated to continue into the future. Reporting to the Group Chairman and CEO, you will provide leadership and management of the internal corporate operations and finances. You will have full responsibility for all group reporting, finances, operations and corporate governance. This is a very hands-on role as you operate as the Head of Finance, as well as manage other operational areas including IT, HR, Marketing and Legal.

We are looking for either a career finance professional looking to step up into the Chief Operating Officer role or someone already in the COO role in a small to medium organisation.
  
Key accountabilities and responsibilities in this role include:

• Leadership of internal disciplines including Finance, IT, Human Resources, Marketing and Compliance
• Support and direct internal operations through best commercial practices and take ownership of contracts, due diligence, risk and corporate governance
• Manage all external vendors and commercial negotiations to obtain maximum value for the group
• Financial oversight of all budgeting, forecasting and reporting as well as internal cost control
• Team leadership – conducting performance and salary reviews and devising incentive programs
• Monitor client satisfaction and benchmark service levels
• Continuous improvement and consolidation of existing procedures to improve efficiencies for scale within a growth environment

To be successful in this role the skills and attributes we are seeking include:

• 8-10+ years work experience post qualification in the finance/accounting field and/or a background in operational management
• Formal qualifications in disciplines such as Business, Accounting or Commercial Law
• Ideally exposure to the Financial Services Sector
• Ability to operate at senior strategic and Board level with the willingness to also be hands-on
• Commercially astute and entrepreneurial with superior project management skills and high level negotiation skills
• Demonstrable experience in process and systems improvement with successful implementation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
