We are currently searching for an experienced enthusiastic Full time  Finance Officer who has a passion and commitment for their role.  You will be someone who is keen to work at all levels, including undertaking the day to day accounts administration and financial duties of the organisation. The right applicant will have the opportunity to advance their career to a more senior role as our organization grows

Reporting to the CFO and based at our purpose-built depot in Burpengary, the Finance Officer will work in tandem with our existing small team..     

This role will commence with the following Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and efficient processing of the accounts payable and receivable invoicing using EXO Business and in house software systems
  • Management of the accounts email inbox, and ensuring all documents are received by correct department for processing in a timely manner
  • Management of weekly and monthly creditor payment cycle
  • Ensuring accounts receivables are within reasonable trading terms
  • Reconciling EOM creditor statements for monthly payments
  • Ensuring correct ledger codes and branch allocation for all debtor and creditor invoices
  • Work with Sales team to ensure all accounting requirements are met to ensure all bookings run smoothly.
  • Internal reporting 

After a successful probation/training period, the following additional responsibilities will be required when the CFO is unavailable: 

  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Payroll submissions to bank
  • End of month financial reporting and reconciliation of bank statements
  • Credit / debit card reconciliation
  • End of Month wage reports and reconciliation
  • BAS reporting
  • Payroll tax reporting
  • Workcover annual return
  • General Ledger journals adjustments
  • Management reporting


To be successful in the role you will need to:  

  • 5+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well as a team or individually
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Microsoft office 365 experience
  • EXO Business or MYOB experience
  • Strong tech skills, particularly Microsoft office 365, and a willingness to learn new software (we have our own bespoke system)
  • Qualifications in accounting or Finance is preferred
