Regulatory Reporting and Risk is a large team of dynamic finance professionals providing a wide range of reporting, analysis, insights, advice and Line 1 risk support.

The team adds value through:

  • Regulatory and Compliance interpretation and advice
  • Capital, Risk, Statistical and Product Regulatory reporting
  • Projects, Technology, Controls, Regulatory Change Management and Governance

Do work that matters

You will be part of the Basel 3 Reform project team helping to implement an important global regulatory change with a team of industry leading Finance and IT professionals.

The Basel 3 Reform project is delivering a new regulatory capital calculation engine and suite of regulatory and internal reporting.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Developing a new suite of monthly and quarterly Capital, Credit Risk and Exposures regulatory reporting to APRA and internal stakeholders including the testing and validation of outputs during technology build
  • Working with project team and stakeholders to resolve defects and identify enhancements
  • Preparation of documentation and establishing operating procedures
  • Preparation of regulatory returns during parallel run. This includes work paper creation, movement analysis, commentary, and review meetings with stakeholders
  • Responding to information and data requests from APRA and other regulatory bodies as well as develop and maintain strong stakeholder engagement, by collaborating with business units
  • Champion and drive Productivity (and process improvement) across the team, driving collaboration, coaching & recognition

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Experience in financial and regulatory reporting, particularly in Group reporting highly regarded
  • An understanding of Regulatory Reporting or the Prudential Standards desirable
  • Business Partnering skills liaising with other business units desirable
  • Strong numerate and accounting skills with an understanding of financial products with high attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • SQL or SAS experience in a financial institution preferred
  • GL systems and reporting package skills desirable
