About the Organisation

From humble beginnings, our client have become a long standing, well respected not for profit organisation supporting hundreds of people with disability in the community to take control of their lives and define their own stories. Due to the continued growth in disability and community services a great opportunity has presented to join the organisations Corporate Services team.
  
The Opportunity

The Finance Manager is a key leadership role within the Corporate Services team. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Corporate Services, the Finance Manager leads a small team to provide a comprehensive suite of financial services to the organisation.

The role is responsible for Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting the organisations financial performance; Managing Cash Flow, Debtors and Creditors; NDIS Billing; Payroll; Statutory Compliance and key decision support and advice on strategic and operational initiatives.

Essentially, the organisation is looking for a leader, someone who can lead their team to deliver outstanding levels of service on a day-to-day basis.  More than that though, they need someone who can think strategically, identify opportunities and help the organisation make them happen.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Annual Budget and Half Year Forecast with detailed supporting schedules and documentation
  • Produce Financial Performance Reports and Dashboards for Executive and Board on a Monthly, Quarterly and Annual basis
  • Administer the Treasury and Investment Portfolio
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable function
  • Lead the ICT function
  • Lead the NDIS Administrator to produce accurate and timely billing and the Finance Officer to collect all debtors on a timely basis
  • Manage funding acquittals
  • Act as the key contact for External Auditors for annual financial audit and provision of information to support the audit
  • Management of Statutory Compliance obligations on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Leadership of business improvement initiatives
  • Provision of decision support for strategic and operational planning and initiatives
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as producing written reports and creating dashboards for the Executive team is a key deliverable
  • Strong business improvement focus
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
  • Experienced in using MS Dynamics, Jet Reports and Solver BI (desirable)
  • Prior experience in a finance role within the community services and/or disability and/or similar industry
  • CA/CPA or equivalent
