The Company

The company prides itself on implementing sustainable measures to supply high-quality and bio-secure produce to its consumers. The company is in an exciting stage as their $1.5 billion dollar development project continues to progress.  

The Role 
As the Financial Controller, you will be asked to report directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer. You will be responsible for group financial reporting amongst other duties including; 

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports for the Board. 
  • Group bi-annual and annual financial reports lodged with the ASX.
  • Leading and developing the finance team.
  • Managing external audit requirements.
  • Overseeing the Treasury and Taxation functions.
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Identifying areas to improve business efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Ensuring group compliance with statutory law, finance and tax obligations.
  • Measuring and analyzing group performance. 
  • Managing Financial Systems and external providers of system management.

The Individual
To be considered for this role, you must have demonstrated and relevant experience, ideally a minimum of 7 years’ in a similar role. Additionally, you will; 

  • Be CA/CPA qualified with tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or equivalent. 
  • Have strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
  • Experience working with Executive level on financial, compliance and administrative strategy. 
  • Strong leadership skills to efficiently motivate, lead and deliver projects, encourage initiatives and empower others. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Natural ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Advanced computer software skills including Excel modelling and data management.
