Our valued client is one of Australia’s largest drinks & hospitality companies who operate a portfolio of highly regarded wineries in key wine regions including the Barossa Valley. 

They are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team for an initial 6 month contract. 

Reporting to the Financial Control Manager the role encompasses financial reporting and process improvement across multiple areas of their growing business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing financial reporting.
  • Month end reporting and sales analysis.
  • GL account reconciliations.
  • Expenditure analysis and cost control.
  • Payments and customer accounts reconciliations.
  • Reviewing and developing process improvements across departments.

The successful candidate will require:

  • CPA/CA accounting qualifications.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Wine/Hospitality accounting and costing experience an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
  • A high level of commercial acumen.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.

This is an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension for the right person.

The work location is negotiable and may involve travel between different locations.
