Seafolly are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team!

You will:
Manage the monthly accounts reporting process to ensure financial accuracy and timelines are achieved.

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial management reporting for Seafolly/JETS Australia and International Entities, analysis of variances and related activity; with an emphasis on timeliness, accuracy and high professional standards.
  • Perform end of month accounting, ensuring data integration from AP21 is accurate. Ensuring month end account reconciliations are prepared and presented to the Financial Controller for review.
  • Provide weekly cash flow reporting and forecasts.
  • Own & analyse stock take reporting and inventory variances
  • Complete regular and accurate updates to the BOY financial forecasts.
  • Regular reporting and interaction with Business Department heads ensuring fiscal ownership of financial performance across the business.

Ensure compliance requirements are met consistently to minimise risk to the business.

  • Manage funding requirements including weekly payments.
  • Ensure proper application of Accounting Standards.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and manage the annual audit and be a key contact for auditors.
  • Complete preparation and filing of BAS, FBT, ABS Survey and other statutory returns.
  • Administration and training of Concur Expense and Travel Online tools.
  • Assist with tax requirements for the consolidated group.

Guarantee successful team management, business partnering and operational excellence.

  • Ensure an environment of strong financial controls is maintained and oversee completion of all necessary GL reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Work closely with key team members and stakeholders to ensure accuracy of financial data and determine further efficiencies and automation to streamline existing process.
  • Role model the values of the business and utilise them to inspire team members and foster a positive culture.
  • Oversee direct reports, provide regular feedback and guidance to drive performance and identify opportunities for training and development.
  • Prepare and maintain financial policies and procedures to improve business efficiency.
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller and CFO with various other tasks or ad hoc projects as required.

You have:

  • Professional degree in accounting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to flourish in a fast paced environment
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Excel and AP21
  • Ability and proven experience to lead and train your team
  • Experience in a retailer is ideal
