About you 

As an energetic and supportive School Support Officer (SSO), you will provide administrative support at Student Services and the Front Desk. As the SSO, you will perform duties as directed by the Principal, which can be in a number of areas or locations and with differing degrees of responsibility across the College.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school
  • flexibility, adaptability and willingness to assist with a diverse range of support roles across the College
  • excellent organisational and time management skills, 
  • the capacity to multi-task, maintain attention to detail, accuracy and meet deadlines
  • competence and confidence in using a variety of ICT including Microsoft Office Applications, the Google suite as well as experience in using Compass is desirable
  • ability to respond to sensitive issues with empathy and an understanding of the complexity of the school environment
  • highly developed interpersonal skills
  • ability to work autonomously with minimal direction within timeframes
  • a helpful and cooperative approach to parents, students, staff, external agencies and members of the public.

You will have attained:

  • minimum 3 years of administrative/professional support role
  • experience in a fast-paced business support setting; ideally an education setting
  • experience in providing a broad range of secretarial, administrative and related support services
  • current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Working With Children Check.
