As a result, we are re-defining our Finance function and have a unique opportunity for an Accountant looking for growth and development opportunities. We envisage the successful person is experienced in Financial Accounting, inventory costing and a high level of competence in SAP. You are proactive in process improvement, has maturity and desire to engage with senior managers. 

Since this is an evolving role, there is a need to exercise flexibility and tenacity. You will be broadening your experience in the business and SAP functionalities in Finance, Controlling, Material Management, Sales and Distribution and Customer Service. 

The responsibilities are:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports 
  • Assists in ensuring statutory, financial, and tax requirements are met
  • Experienced in inventory costing and ensuring integrity and accuracy of inventory including periodic and annual stock takes and analysis
  • Working with the Accounts Officer to ensure accounts payable and receivables are managed appropriately
  • Preparation of the weekly sales report, monthly service and logistics reports
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Provides SAP functional support 
  • Other accounts related tasks that require assistance

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Required

  • SAP experience is a must
  • CPA qualified with extensive experience in companies that are in capital goods business
  • Tertiary qualifications with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, a fast learner who takes initiative and is self-motivated
  • Pro-active in looking for process improvement
  • Flexible attitude,multitask and work autonomously and in co-operation with other departments
  • Medium to high competency in Excel and Word
