About the role
Working from our modern winery in the Yarra Valley, we are seeking a driven Risk and Compliance Specialist join our team. This role looks to support the entire business to ensure internal control and compliance measures are established and maintained, minimizing risk and exposure to the business.
As a Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the annual internal control self-assessment and global risk assessment to identify any limitations and required actions.
- Reporting and monitoring progress on closure of any internal control objectives and remediation plans with those responsible to ensure all commitments are achieved timely and comprehensively.
- Reviewing existing processes for internal control effectiveness and efficiency
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of DCA’s Integrated Management System (HSEQ) policies and procedures (P&P).
- Assisting with monitoring compliance to regulatory, standards, and policy requirements.
- Supporting Safety & Wellbeing Manager to establish and maintain a centralized P&P framework in collaboration with departmental champions, ensuring all documentation meets best practice and ISO requirements.
- Investigating and reporting on system non-conformities and compliance issues, coordinate the follow-up of recommendations and actions.
Requirements
For your application to be considered, you must:
- Degree qualification (Accounting/Auditing/Business Management)
- Internal auditing qualification desirable with 2 to 3 years’ experience in field
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Policy and procedure development and interpretation with report writing skills
- Experience in using Microsoft office with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel. Use of MYOSH advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse work environment
- Brilliant oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and lead multiple tasks at once
- Curious mindset with confidence to challenge the status-quo
