The Opportunity 
We are looking for an experienced finance and contracts coordinator to join a large transformation program within a federal government agency based in Melbourne CBD. The role is Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day paying a daily rate and will be until 30 June 2023 with possible extensions. 

The finance and contracts coordinator will perform tasks required to maintain the financial forecast within one of the streams in the program. The role will perform contract administration and support which will include, reviewing contracts and overseeing contract payment schedules. 

Responsibilities will include; 

  • Maintaining the financial forecast and ensuring consistency with project portfolios, providing monthly validation and reconciliation of actuals against forecasts 
  • Prepare and submit capitalised salary additions/adjustments, accruals, costs transfers and journals
  • Maintain a register of supplier contract payments and schedules, review contracts and oversee payment schedules 
  • Compile and distribute reports 
  • Organise and facilitate meetings/reviews and create meeting minutes/actions
  • Provide support for other general administration tasks as required 
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate; 
  • Experience within a similar role, particularly within finance and contracts 
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce documents and reports to a high standard
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office 
  • Experience with MS Project, SharePoint and Teams 
  • Qualifications in Accounting, finance and business related disciplines is advantageous
  • Experience with Jira or Confluence is desirable
