The Role:

Les Freedman & Co, an accounting subsidiary of (CEL Group) is based in Upper Mount Gravatt. It is gradually expanding and seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed intermediate Accountant to join the accounting team on a permanent basis to commence immediately.

This role will include bookkeeping, preparation of financial reports, income tax returns, business activity statements (BAS). Weekly in house training will be provided by the company, you will gain both technical skills in accounting software and bookkeeping, as well as professional knowledge in taxation and business investment. You will work with other CPA qualified professionals as a Team.

Duties to be performed include the following areas:

  • Preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships & SMSF
  • Preparation of Quarterly Business Activity Statements/IAS
  • Attending client queries regarding taxation matters
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required


Requirements of the Role:

  • Degree in Accounting
  • More than 2 years practice experience
  • MUST be fluent in English 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
  • Capacity to learn new technical skills
  • Bonus if the understanding of XERO/ APS/Virtual Cabinet/MYOB functionality
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Professional attitude and good communication skills
