Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the ACM team in a leadership position. Reporting to the CFO and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role is responsible for day-to-day financial operations and developing a finance team to ensure the delivery of all financial statutory reporting, tax and compliance obligations; you will be integral and pivotal to the success of the organisation.

You will work closely with the business to communicate financial information to stakeholders playing an important part in the organisation’s continuing growth and success.

 

In detail

  • Timely and accurate P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting for the group. 
  • Banking, treasury, and debt facility management.
  • Oversee the taxation affairs of the group and work with the external tax firm ensuring all ATO requirements are met.
  • Co-ordinate and manage the preparation of full year accounts, audit, and financial statements.
  • Work with the Head of FP&A to provide analysis and commentary of monthly results for the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
  • Work with the Shared Service Manager to improve finance processes and technology.
  • Manage the company financial systems (SAP).
  • Management of key relationships, including insurance and financial institutions.
  • Management of a number of roles within the finance team.
  • Facilitate high levels of collaboration and support team culture.
  • Demonstrate change leadership, contributing to the reinvigoration of management.
  • Mentor team members to create a highly motivated, coherent, cohesive culture which rewards high performance and innovation.
  • Enact staff development plans.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

This is a key role in the leadership team so it is essential that you can demonstrate success in a similar role in a medium to large organisation. As a manager of a team, it is essential that you can show current management of staff and personnel with strong leadership and exemplary communication.

You are someone who is determined to meet deadlines and someone who can demonstrate a high level of analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. You communicate at the highest level and you are someone who takes pride in everything that you do. 

It is expected that you are detail oriented, that you have a high level of analytical skills, a high-level of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation skills and that you have superior written and verbal communications skills.

 

Essential criteria

  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role as either a Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
  • SAP experience.
  • Experience in multi-company group structures and consolidation accounting. 
  • Possess a strong financial accounting knowledge and will be well versed in accounting principles and financial reporting requirements, as well as a thorough understanding of Australian audit procedure.
  • Analytical & modelling capabilities.
  • ‘3-way’ cashflow understanding and modelling.
