Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Finance department management and organisation
- Validate and submit Group monthly reporting according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and monthly activity reporting
- In charge of alignment of local and group reporting
- Approve annual statutory reporting and tax preparation
- Perform analysis and comments of activity and results
- In charge of the relationship with all financial external stakeholders
- Accounting and structuring of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) accounting system
- In conjunction with the General Manager, assist in controlling costs and margin advice in trading business, rental, parts and services
- Budget process and budget update and monthly follow up of variances
- Treasury management, cash flow requirement evaluation and bank terms and conditions negotiation
- Tax returns (annual, Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT)), monthly Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation, review other statutory taxes and compliance for correctness
- In conjunction with the Executive Management maintain and review relationships with banks and auditors
- Assist the General Manager and the management team in developing the commercial strategy
- Participate in risk management assessment
- Assist management / department managers in costs monitoring and control, optimization of resources and productivity levels
- High involvement in defining Credit policies
- Assistance to the Human Resources (HR) Manager in costing HR issues and administration follow up
- Negotiation with external Financing Companies
- Implement and follow up internal control systems and procedures as required
- Assist General Manager in management of local IT infrastructure (hardware/software)
- Qualified accountant – Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and understanding of IFRS
- Possess or show the ability to manage monthly and annual reporting and planning processes
- Show commercial mind-set and the ability to partner with sales and operational staff to drive the performance of the business
- Have excellent interpersonal skills to manage non-financial stakeholder relationships where you will challenge and advise as necessary
