Financial Controller Position – Part time ( 2 days)  Tuesday and Thursday 

Duties and Responsibilities

Based in a brand new, modern office complex in Dandenong South, this is a newly created position for a Financial Controller with commercial and operational experience.

With over 20 years of strong trading history over four business entities, the TriTech Group requires a Financial Controller to replace the retiring CFO.

This is a fast moving, growing manufacturing and distribution business.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead a small yet independent team and provide crucial decision-making information to the business owners and stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly financial and management reports, ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts and reconciliations.
  • Seek continuous improvement of financial accounting processes.
  • Seek continuous improvement to finance, HR and IT systems.
  • Ensure tax and statutory compliance, including BAS, IAS and ASIC compliance.
  • Manage the companies external accounting and legal relationships.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and EOFY financial accounting, reporting and analysis for the business group.
  • Manage Profit and Loss, balance sheets and year-end reconciliations for the business group.
  • Analyse business performance, with an emphasis on profit margin growth.
  • Manage the processes for customer pricing in conjunction with the Business Manager/CEO.
  • Maintain General Ledger account reconciliations for multiple entities.

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • CA/CPA or Finance qualifications with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Xero, MYOB, and MS Office. Experience in CIN7 or other inventory management software would be an advantage.
  • An eye for detail and great analytical skills.

It would be an advantage to have:

  • Some experience with importing/exporting and foreign currency.
  • Strong commercial and manufacturing awareness.
  • Experience in business appraisal and due diligence, as other business acquisitions are possible in the future.

The role is part time 2 days per week Tuesday and Thursday.

Must have Australian Drivers Licence and own reliable transport.
