The role
This is a unique opportunity to be a key proponent to building a standalone finance function within a major start-up function of this major listed industrial and ASX20 business. Recognised globally and boasts a reputation as an employer of choice. With a significant balance sheet and asset base of it’s own. In an ever-changing and evolving business.
As 2IC to the FC the Senior FM/FM will be key to the creation of a self-sufficient financial control function across multiple stages as they seek to separate processes from the parent company, review their strategy and potentially prepare for M&A/monestisation of their assets. In an ever-changing and continually project-driven role.
You will take ownership of balance sheet, management of corporate functions, statutory reporting, day-to-day GL management (inc oversight of AP & AR) and treasury/cashflow management.
You will also lead review of systems and processes to ensure ongoing efficiencies are achieved, review outsourced accounting partners and be involved in future change management and review of suppliers.

About you
- Are a dynamic and motivated individual who is keen to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Are a current Finance Manager with broad experience ideally across financial reporting, tax, audit, transactional finance management and cash-flow management
- Previous experience in Big 4, infrastructure or infrastructure experience highly regarded
- Exceptional communication skills and to apply your accounting ability in a commercial setting
