Your new company
Work within a leading multi-sector university who are passionate about offering life changing experiences to shape the world with research, innovation, teaching and industry engagement. Seeking a Service Support Officer based in Melbourne, you will be joining a hardworking and dedicated team.

Your new role
You will be supporting day to day activities within the college and schools as part of the planning and operations team. You will work collaboratively to provide a broad range of administrative and resource support functions. This role will provide support to academic and professional staff associated with HR, finance and procurement.

  • Support academic and professional staff in matters relating to engagement, onboarding and pay for staff within the schools. Including developing and maintain strong working relationships with casual recruitment, finance, HR and other critical teams.
  • Provide aid, in conjunction with the College of professional; service team for facilities access, maintenance support, resources for staff, students and visitors
  • Actively participate in College continuous improved processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, providing feedback to relevant areas and contributing to the streamlining of academic service processes, communication lines and support services.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders; use effective and appropriate communication in dealing with internal and external contacts.
  • Other duties as directed within the scope of this classification.


What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience in providing high-level administrative support.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take the initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of groups, both internal and external to the University.
  • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy including work processing; presentation software; email; internet and electronic document management applications.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a flexible team member committed to achieving own and work team goals and priorities, and to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to priorities tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
