Who we are:

The team: The Assets team are helping rebuild the Lismore Community. Our team provides support services to the Infrastructure Services Directorate and is responsible for prioritising the maintenance and renewal of all Council-owned assets and public infrastructure including buildings, stormwater, roads, parks and water and sewage treatments plants. The team is focused and motivated, providing the best support possible.

You are:

  • Experienced in administration and support services: you will ensure the smooth running of the business area by performing a range of administrative and support functions within a political, complex and multi-faceted organisational environment.
  • Flexible and agile: you are adaptable and open to support more than one department as the need arises and provide support across the organisation as directed.
  • A team player: you will have a proven ability to work well in a team, with strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • An expert communicator: you will have high level communication skills and the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and gain cooperation and assistance from a range of stakeholders both internal and external.

You will:

  • Ensure that all corporate records are fully and accurately captured and maintained, to comply with legislative requirements and business needs.
  • Conduct general administrative and clerical tasks such as taking and making telephone calls, record keeping, typing and photocopying.
  • Use a suite of information technology competently including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Publisher.
  • Manage workloads and competing priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
