We are currently seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and engaging Accountant to join our Head office team based in Melbourne’s southeast on a part time basis (20 hours per week)

This role will work with our Communities clients providing the accounting expertise for our suite of master planned residential clients ranging from single plan of subdivision to resorts with multiple plans. This role will also include assisting our clients within the Sports and Leisure industry providing you with diverse exposure to our organisation and clients.

Whilst you must possess a love for numerical accuracy and compliance we also need you to be skilled in looking beyond the numbers for operational efficiencies and key drivers to leverage success within our managed sites.

Reporting to the Finance Manager responsibilities will include:

  • Financial statements and management reports
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable – including debt recovery and cash flow management
  • Financial reporting & analysis
  • Budget development and tracking
  • General ledger management
  • Bank reconciliations, journals and accruals 
  • Compliance & statutory payments and reports
  • Processing creditor invoices and payments

About you

Whilst you must possess a love for numerical accuracy and compliance, we also need you to be skilled in looking beyond the numbers for operational efficiencies and key drivers to leverage success within our managed sites.

You will have: 

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years accounting experience 
  • Recent  CA / CPA qualification or working towards this
  • Financial and commercial acumen & analysis skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level with Microsoft office suite
  • A proactive, innovative, outcome focused approach, bringing energy into the workplace
  • Exceptional communication, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Proven ability to work  and perform in a high paced active environment
  • Current police check

Prior experience with Strata software and Xero will be highly regarded.
