SkyCity Adelaide is South Australia’s largest employer of hospitality staff with over 1300 employees working across 200 different types of positions – the variety of careers across our business is huge! We have EOS by SkyCity, our award-winning luxury hotel, restaurants and bars, a world-class casino and our corporate offices all located in the heart of one of the world’s most liveable cities. As part of the SkyCity Entertainment Group employing over 4,000 people who welcome and delight millions of customers each year, our vision is to be the leader in gaming, entertainment and hospitality in our communities. Our teams are made up of people who are our heart and soul and represent over 70 different cultures. We’re extremely proud of our diversity and it is important to us that our people have opportunities to learn and grow within our communities.

Right now, we are looking for a Full Time Finance Officer to join our Finance Team.

So, what does the role look like?

You will be working with several different data sources and revenue streams. Microsoft Excel will definitely become your new best friend. You must have the ability to “think on your feet” and have proven problem solving skills. You will have your primary responsibilities of reviewing, processing and reconciling revenue which will take up a large portion of your time, but the role will be open to change as other duties are identified and additional opportunities arise. I can’t list off all of the additional day to day duties as the role is quite fluid, but what I can tell you is what the role won’t look like. This is not your regular Finance Officer role. You won’t be assisting with payroll, accounts payable or accounts receivable as we have an amazing team who specialises in those areas already.

What you will look like?

You will love investigating and solving problems and you are always the first person to solve the brain teaser questions at a quiz night. You will be the type of person that finds solutions to problems before reporting the find to your team leader and if the root cause can’t be identified, you will be able to effectively communicate what the problem is and what steps you’ve taken to try and resolve it. You will have to use initiative to step up when required and you won’t be afraid to admit that you don’t understand something. If you have ever had the opportunity to step up and take on more managerial/supervisor responsibilities in your previous roles, then this is ideal!

What’s in it for you?

Besides working with great people and getting firsthand experience of SkyCity’s newest entertainment offerings, you will also be rewarded with a range of employee benefits including;

  • Free employee meals available at our employee restaurant
  • In-house dry-cleaning service, which is also available for personal use at a discounted rate
  • Subsidised car parking and public transport tickets
  • Discounts available across SkyCity Adelaide outlets
  • Employee reward and recognition programmes
  • Fantastic career and professional development opportunities as we grow.

It really is an exciting time to be joining SkyCity Adelaide. This is your chance to make your mark, make a difference and together, we can make magic!

No recruitment agencies please.
