We’re looking for a Senior Finance Consultant with a passion for numbers, people and customer service to join our growing national Team.

 

This hybrid role will be joining our national team of Bookkeepers and Accountants in helping businesses with revenue in the $1m-$20m range to optimise the finance process, deliver their monthly numbers and help them scale with your strong technical bookkeeping and accounting skills.

The Role

The way finance roles are delivered has been changing. This role is a permanent part-time role for 25 – 34 hours a week – you choose. As long as the hours are the same every week and the hours are delivered between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, the choice is yours.

We were hybrid, before hybrid existed, so the opportunity to work flexibly is real. We are a fintech company but we have a customer-service approach first and foremost, so there will be some onsite as well as offsite elements to this role. If this way of working brings out the best in you, this role’s for you. Ultimately we focus on delivering value to our customers, so if you are looking for a role that is only Work From Home (WFM), this current role won’t work for you.

Please only apply if you are an experienced Bookkeeping and/or Accounting professional with at least a Diploma or Degree qualification, with at least 5 years of hands-on Australian-based experience and can deliver the EOM process including reporting and interpretation of financial results.

 

Our Role includes aspects of the following depending on your experience and knowledge levels:

  • Reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts including Bank, Credit Cards and Intercompany Accounts
  • Processing of the full Payroll function including PAYG, Superannuation, Workers Compensation and Payroll Tax
  • Completion of BAS reconciliations and preparation (you don’t need to be a BAS Agent for this role)
  • Preparation and delivery of Month End Reports including using our proprietary Benchmark software to deliver insights to clients and our Accounting Advisory Partners
  • Reporting to Owners, Investors and Management as needed
  • Guiding and mentoring a Team of Finance Consultants

 

Your Story:

  • Completed an Australian Diploma or Degree qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping (a CA or CPA is not required but will give you an advantage in the application process)
  • Advance knowledge of accounting software
  • A specialist in a particular industry sector or generalist with a wide-range – either is great
  • Thrive in an environment that has variety and is fast-paced
  • Proven ability to communicate with a variety of people and exceptional time management skills
  • An appetite and willingness to learn
  • The ability to question the status quo and recognise and implement process improvements as you go (if you ask ‘Why’, we want you!)
  • The agreement to travel onsite to clients as part of the service delivery we agree in consultation with each other, where needed
