Due to strong growth and increasing demand for our premium imagery products and award-winning AI solutions, we are seeking a Business Manager to join our senior leadership team in our Melbourne office.

As the Business Manager you will report to the Managing Director as part of the SLT. Joining a high growth business you will lean heavily on your experience and capability as a hands on leader, who can set, drive and implement big picture, strategic thinking, but even more importantly, work shoulder to shoulder in the tactical execution and business as usual, whilst maintaining strategic alignment. 

 

The key challenges areas of this role are outlined below:

 

  • People leadership – Build meaningful relationships with your people, developing a deep understanding of who they are and what they do in order to support and develop them as individuals as they grow and thrive in the team and business.
  • Business and commercial acumen – Bring key project leadership skill sets to the fore; developing frameworks, tools and templates that consolidate existing business systems while encouraging the creation of new ideas that flow into projects to support the continued development of services, individuals, teams and the wider business. Key to this is the ability to have structured objectives, that are measured, managed and delivered.
  • Mission and values orientation – Outline Global’s purpose is to advance the geospatial industry by being bold, passionate, entrepreneurial and agile, while embracing perpetual innovation. A deep connection to the mission and vision of the organisation that will drive your personal purpose, behaviours and passions setting the pace of the culture.
  • Trusted advisor to the CEO, Board and SLT: Provide expert, trusted advice in supporting the SLT and ELT, particularly the CEO in decision making. Ability to see, understand and execute big picture thinking in connection with detail orientation around the commercial and business challenges at ground level facing Outline Global.
  • Intrapreneurship – Be and make a culture of intrapreneurialism where your own personal, as well as your teams, deep, intricate, and nuanced knowledge of the business enables you to give invaluable insight when identifying innovation opportunities and problems worth solving. Foster a team mentality where everyone is encouraged to use their intimate knowledge of their specialist field, the industry and organisation to solve problems in ways that are highly fit-for-purpose.

 

You are an experienced and gifted people leader, building teams that equip and empower your people to thrive. As a Business Leader you have worked in high growth, complex environments, meeting the increasing demands of business and customer needs, working in partnership with the SLT and your people to deliver high quality outcomes. You have deep knowledge and passion for people and culture, leading HR initiatives from a policy, process and procedure perspective, through to hands on people centred leadership. Working in lock step with the business owners to execute great people and culture outcomes.

This is a hands-on leadership role, that will work closely with all key people in all key aspects of the business, with a commitment around developing a high energy business culture as a key component of achieving and maintaining long-term growth and set strategic goals.
