Do you love caring for our senior citizens but are sick of having to work within “the system”? How does “working in a field that gets you out and about, gives you autonomy, lets you take pride in your care all within a work environment that values and supports you” sound? Attractive? Then read on.
At FEET2U our aim is to help our clients maintain their mobility and wellbeing through optimal foot health, all within the comfort of the home environment. We deliver care to private clients, Home Care Package recipients, NDIS clients, Rural communities and Aged Care facilities. Our team of Registered and Enrolled Nurses are all* Certified Advanced Foot Care Practitioners aswell as experienced Community Nurses.
FEET2U is now Statewide and we aim to continue to grow our reach, enabling all Tasmanians needing assistance with their foot health to access our services. We are after Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses interested in becoming Advanced Foot Care Practitioners and have part time positions available in the North, North West, East and South of Tasmania. We are also interested to hear from any Registered Nurses interested in more Senior Clinical and Team leader roles. And if you are Entrepreneurial we have opportunities for Business Ownership as part of the FEET2U Franchise Group.
To be considered you must have at least two years post graduate experience and be confident with wound management, have sound comprehensive assessment skills, be thirsty for knowledge and interested in gaining skills in Advanced Foot Care. Previous experience in community or aged care is an advantage, but not essential. You must be able to work autonomously, have superior time management skills and be highly resourceful. If you are disorganised, get easily stressed, don’t easily strike up a rapport with strangers, uncomfortable around pets and not a fan of traffic, then this is NOT the job for you. Footcare Nursing is so much more than just feet. The work is physically hard, clinically challenging but the rewards are great.
The feet you meet may not be pretty, but the people they are attached to are pretty amazing!
You need to satisfy a national police check, hold WWVP registration and have a current First Aid certificate. For more information about these roles, please enquire at [email protected] or call 1300 333 828
