The opportunity:

The Compliance Officer role is part of the Quality, Security, Risk & Compliance (QSRC) function which is responsible for the Second Line, focusing on oversight of the First Line within the AAU Worldline organisation. Reporting to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, this role will be instrumental in ensuring that all Compliance related risks are effectively managed across the First Line, and that any changes within the Regulatory landscape are monitored to ensure that the organisation remains compliant. The role is broad in its coverage covering Financial Security, Code of Conduct, Ethics and Data Protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage policies in accordance to applicable laws and regulations
  • Support the business as an independent function in identifying, assessing and addressing relevant financial, operational, security and compliance obligations and risks incl. legal  and AML-CTF obligations
  • Ensuring compliancy with all legal & regulatory requirements
  • Providing compliance guidance to business project teams
  • Delivering compliance awareness to staff and projects
  • Local liaison with Worldline Merchant Services Second Line Compliance – Financial Security / Code of Conduct – Ethics – Data Protection
  • Act as the guardian of the KYC/AML process and be the principle point of contact for KYC/AML related topics within the operating business and group compliancy office
  • Make sure that the customer base is monitored according to the standards set by Worldline CTF-AML and Compliance related Policies 
  • Oversee the execution of AML training to relevant employees 
  • Provide support in ensuring processes are procedures are adequately designed to meet regulatory requirements
  • Perform PEP handling documentation, Second Line AML Control and reporting towards board and group compliance 
  • Handle AML alerts as the 2nd line authorizer and monitor SARs reporting 
  • Support the AML reporting to Regulator and the Financial Intelligence Processing Unit 
  • Perform CoC – Ethics tasks regarding Analyse Bribery, Corruption threads, support assessment of the ABAC Heat Map and reporting and analyse ethics/ABAC questionnaires, 
  • Support Third Party Due Diligence process and assessments including critical supplier reviews through the Outsoucing Advisory Committee 
  • Manages / supports local Compliance Alert function (whistleblowing)  
  • Perform Data Protection reviews on processes and third parties
  • Inform stakeholders in case of Data Privacy Breaches


  • 5+ years (AML) Compliance in the financial sector / compliance expert;
  • 3+ years in payments or technology driven organisation;

  • Advanced knowledge of Office products, including Powerpoint and Excel
  • Experience with Risk, Security & Compliance tools (preferably RSA Archer)
  • Multicultural and flexible mindset with the ability to multi-task and work in an international environment


  • Masters Degree (Economics, Finance, Law, or equivalent)
  • Industry Compliance Certifications (ACAMS, etc)
