A day in the life of an Registered Nurse  – Tower 2 Casey

  • Patient centred provision of care to our cohort of patients in Monash Heart Cardiac Care Unit
  • Role modelling to other staff and working within the team collaboratively
  • Participating in quality improvement across the program to support best practice

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Critical Care Registered Nurse and wish to progress their nursing career in Cardiac Care and enhancing their clinical knowledge in this field of Nursing. Work closely in supporting the team to ensure the provision of safe and effective care as well as assist with the efficient management of the ward on a shift basis. We have recently hired excellent nursing talent and have more opportunities available for RN’s seeking to upskill and are passionate about delivering patient centred care within an acute General Medicine /Cardiac Care Ward.

Tower 2 (T2) at Casey is a 32 bed Cardiac Care Unit that includes 8 HDU and 8 step down cardiology beds, plus 16 cardiology/general medical telemetry. We manage patients with high acute cardiac and Respiratory conditions that require monitoring and cardiac management, including Non-Invasive Ventilation. We offer a supportive and friendly environment and our focus is to deliver excellence in patient care in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, care givers and the wider community.

What you will bring

  • Post graduate qualification in Cardiac or Critical Care
  • Recent experience with Advanced Life Support
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac rhythm recognition
  • Demonstrated proficiency in acute care clinical skills
  • Demonstrated recognition and management of the deteriorating patient
  • Australian working rights
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
