Dairy Farm Manager in manna valley at Farm Management

We are searching for an motivated individual to join our dairy farm in beautiful West Gippsland.

The role will be responsible for overseeing staff and our 400 cow herd of well bred Frisians.

The herd is milked in a 28 rotary with many improvements including GEA cow scout collar system. 

The Successful applicant will demonstrate:

-Sufficient experience in the dairy sector for the ability to manage high production herd 

-Ability to work well in a team environment Leading by example 

-Solid understanding of pasture management in dairy sector

-Strong observational skills and ability to detect animal health concerns and provide solutions 

-Ability to handle live-stock in low-stress manner 

-solid understanding of calf rearing and management

-Healthy open communication skills

The Farm is located within 10 minutes of Warragul Victoia a fast growing regional hub one hour out of Melbourne CBD. Position may include accommodation salary package will reflect experience.
