As an organisation with more than 200 people we are searching for the right person to join us in this exciting People & Culture Management role, as we move into the next phase of growth & improvement of community services in the region.
About the role
Reporting into the Director of Organisational Growth, as a member of the senior management group & leading a core team of 5 fantastic individuals, this role is focused on broad HR knowledge, skills and leadership to the organisation. With your team and the support of the Director of Organisational Growth, key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Driving employee attraction, recruitment and retention
- Continuing to build and manage on-boarding and induction
- Owning payroll, including leave balance tracking
- Developing and driving learning and development
- Developing workforce planning and career journey mapping
- Reviewing and enhancing reward and recognition
- Owning and managing workplace health and safety
- Owning our employee wellbeing plans
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally be tertiary qualified with a proven track record in Human Resources and all that relates to – from generalist HR, IR, OHS, HR policies and procedures, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, L&D and strategy development and delivery.
You have excellent communication skills, you are a collaborative leader, empowering the people you lead, with an understanding of the community environment you will be leading in.
You are comfortable using the Microsoft office program suit, record management systems, and integrated business systems. While not essential, it would be beneficial to have an understanding & appreciation of indigenous culture and living and working in remote communities.
