Sue’s Burgers and Shakes in Westfield Carindale is on the hunt for a SUPERSTAR Kitchen Manager or Head Chef.

About Us: 

Sue’s Burgers & Shakes will be a modern day nod to the classic American Diner. Featuring 80’s inspired modern street art, retro furniture and décor, funky neon lights and bright aesthetics. At Sue’s American cuisine reigns supreme!

Sue is looking for a Superstar Kitchen Manager or Head Chef who will manage day to day kitchen operations and budgets. The ideal applicant will first and foremost be people orientated! This applicant will bring previous management experience in a similar environment, pride themselves on achieving high quality food and safety standards and lead by example.

Qualifications & experience

  • 1 Years’ Experience in an American Style Kitchen (Burgers, Pub, Bar kitchen) High volume kitchen is a must!

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Meeting and maintaining set budgets in the following areas Wages, Food Cost and Wastage
  • Stock Controls: Inventory control, stock rotation and management, Food Preparation and Ordering
  • Leading and coaching kitchen staff to achieve efficient and high quality food standards and maintaining acceptable wait times
  • Assisting with or opening and closing the restaurant
  • Following Operational procedures on a daily basis to ensure the required kitchen standards are met
