Darebin City Council is currently looking to recruit a Manager Corporate Governance to lead a team across Council Business, Corporate Strategy and Risk and Improvement. Reporting to the General Manager Governance and Engagement, and working closely with the CEO, this is a pivotal leadership role in the Governance and Engagement Division and in the wider organisational leadership team where you will support the delivery of the Council Plan. You will have full accountability for the planning and performance of internal strategies, services and projects to build the capacity, culture and performance of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the planning of the Council’s key priorities and objectives of the Council Plan to deliver on the 2041 Darebin Vision
- Leading best practice in good governance through pro-active development, measures and controls.
- Assisting the council in the development of strategies and plans and providing strategic advice around legislation
- Driving strategic reforms in business practice to improve the delivery of services, projects and programs
- Leading a passionate team across Council Business, Corporate Planning and Risk and Improvement
- Identify challenges and emerging issues facing the organisation
To be successful in this role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and an established career in Corporate Governance, management, organisational strategy, and risk management.
