Leading Tier 2 builder with very strong relationships and repeat business. The business delivers residential, commercial, industrial, and aged care projects.
 
They are looking for a Procurement Manager to manager Subcontractor relationships.
 
As the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the following:
 
  • Responsible for organising the establishment of the basic tendering and procurement management system.
  • According to the overall business performance objectives, participate in and implement the formulation of the business management annual plan and objectives (strategic purchasing / procurement plan).
  • Supplier resource development, daily maintenance management; select reliable sources of supply through clear evaluation methods; engage complimentary suppliers and work with key suppliers to improve value delivered to the organisation.
  • Oversee the preparation of tenders, proposals, and the negotiation of contracts. Maintain programs for vendor analysis and cost reduction, provide various management-related data and analysis results thereby improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process.
  • Monitor suppliers and oversee inventory control activities to ensure that accurate quantities of stock are purchased at the correct price within specified timeframes.
  • Project dynamic cost contract management. Verify the cost of each stage of the project, analyse and review the payment volume and price, and determine the cost assessment data for the development team.
  • Organise and implement the cost procurement work content in the post-project evaluation, summarize and evaluate the gains and losses, implement the precipitation of cost data, and be responsible for cost auditing and inspection.
  • Optimize and improve the cost process within the department and optimize the tools and methods.
