About the Role
Our ideal applicant will have competence in Advanced Life Support, cannulation. They will have a demonstrated understanding of working in an acute service and they will be caring for acute patients, aged care patients, and emergency presentations with the different care requirements. The suitable candidate will be willing to work in the Emergency Department, and complete First Line Emergency Course (FLECC) training.

The role is supported by an enthusiastic team of dedicated staff, onsite orientation is provided and ongoing education is encouraged.  Staff are supported to complete FLECC/CRANA  and critical care certificates. We have one Nurse in our emergency department, support is provided by the medical staff who are oncall.  Senior Emergency staff support junior staff to develop their emergency skills.  Orientation is supernumery onsite. You will be supported by Health Service Manager, Clinical Manager, Nurse Unit Managers in Maternity Unit and Operating Theatre/ Day Stay Unit along with the facility Clinical Nurse Educator, Quality Coordinator. You will be working with a dedicated team of Registered Nurses, Endorsed Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing in supporting excellent care to our patients in collaboration with patients, families and carers. You will be  supported with a Clinical Nurse educator and a Quality Coordinator on site Monday to Friday. About You
