AJ Building & Restoration operates with in three states of Australia – VIC NSW & QLD.  We undertake emergency building make safes, restoration and repair works for multiple insurance builders.  

Our team is EXPANDING, and are we are looking for a motivated, FULL TIME REPAIR O-ORDINATOR in our Melbourne/Sunshine Office.  

Our work comes from storm events, fires, break and enters, car impacts and other accidents that have impacted homes and properties, we deal directly with insurance builders who allocate us jobs to complete repair works on their policy holders’ homes.

Under the direction of our company directors, we are seeking a coordinator who can think outside the box and demonstrate a willingness to learn new processes. 

The successful applicant’s key responsibilities will be

  • Engage, coordinate & manage trades
  • Communicate & negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
  • Liaise between policy holders or parties & insurance builders
  • Coordinate access to properties with policy holders or parties
  • Dispute / issue resolution as required
  • Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OHS requirements
  • Ensure all relevant inspections, certificates & documentation is signed off
  • Assist in processing quotes & updating variations
  • Support & assist the administration team when required
  • Be on call on weekends every 6 weeks and one evening every fortnight.

  • Construction / Building Trade Qualification, or relevant experience
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, including a professional phone manner
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Highly computer literate including Xero, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Can-do & positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn & start from the ground up in a fast-moving organisation & team.
