Victoria’s new public Correctional Centre is approaching completion and now is the time to apply for ongoing jobs that will help shape the future operations of the facility.   

Employees working in the initial stage of operations will contribute to the foundations of the new facility by participating in the development of operating processes, services and procedures. The role 

The Senior Advisor, Finance and Procurement builds business and commercial models that inform the development of the prison’s operational models. They work with financial and performance data and reports, staffing numbers, budgets, and on change management activities.  

They provide leadership to staff undertaking the provision of commercial and financial activities as well as data and statistical analysis. They use data and research, innovative thinking and analysis to support project decision making and influence option development and endorsement. They model a positive work culture, support innovation and respect diversity in the workforce.  

Your skills and experience   

You will have proven experience in financial management and a qualification in commerce, accounting, or finance. You will be able to extract data from information systems, confidently respond to complex data requests and produce reports on a broad range of performance measures. 

Additionally, you will be a skilled presenter when it comes to conveying financial information to stakeholders using scenario analyses and modelling. As an experienced leader, you will know how to actively support the professional development of staff in financial management, procurement policies and procedures.
