Victoria’s new public Correctional Centre is approaching completion and now is the time to apply for ongoing jobs that will help shape the future operations of the facility. 

Employees working in the initial stage of operations will contribute to the foundations of the new facility by participating in the development of operating processes, services and procedures. The role

The Supervisor, Workforce Development provides expert advice about employee development and learning opportunities. Their evidence-based proposals and workforce solutions support innovation and service excellence across the facility.  

They oversee the design and delivery of a wide variety of employee training and professional development programs. In collaboration with stakeholders, they coordinate pre-service training, ongoing learning opportunities and the development of new learning programs as needed. 

Additionally, the Supervisor, Workforce Development assists with the production and implementation of induction programs. Another feature of the role is to participate in the design and development of training programs and learning pathways that will help achieve optimum outcomes for prisoners. They model a positive work culture, support innovation and respect diversity in the workforce. 

Your skills and experience  

You will have demonstrated experience planning and implementing training programs for individuals and teams with diverse training and learning needs. You will skilfully support them to learn and develop due to your experience in competency-based training and assessment. 

You will have a sound understanding of evaluation techniques and an ability to problem solve when working on complex projects and work programs. For this role, you need to be a great communicator, a confident relationship builder, and an effective team player who enjoys supporting others to succeed.
