Victoria’s new public Correctional Centre is approaching completion and now is the time to apply for ongoing jobs that will help shape the future operations of the facility.
Employees working in the initial stage of operations will contribute to the foundations of the new facility by participating in the development of operating processes, services and procedures. The Supervisor, Workforce Engagement has specialist knowledge about workforce and prison service functions. They oversee the creation and maintenance of the employee engagement strategy and are passionate about sharing the strategy and its insights with the entire workforce. They also provide leadership and drive positive employee experiences while contributing their expertise in workforce capacity and capability planning.
They are great collaborators and relationship builders who make it a priority to keep everyone engaged and informed. In addition, they provide advice to managers about engaging the workforce so that all employees have the opportunity to be heard.
To keep on top of trends they gather, analyse and present employee engagement data while coordinating activities to manage staffing levels. Above all, they role model a positive work culture and stand out as an ambassador for organisational values.
Your skills and experience
Starting in this role you will be an experienced human resources strategist with in-depth knowledge about staff engagement best practice. Your written communication skills will extend to complex technical reports and your interpersonal skills will make developing effective working relationships easy.
You will be highly organised with exceptional abilities when it comes to applying innovative thinking to your strategic planning activities. Confidence managing teams in complex situations, and the ability to provide clear direction and advice is important in this role. Overall, you will be a team player who demonstrates integrity and empathy with an appreciation of a range of different cultures.
