About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are looking for some who has a passion for horticulture and open spaces. You should be polite professional and be able to project a positive Council image. You should have previous experience of leading a team and managing staff, as hard worker your should also be flexible and adaptable to change.
On a typical day this role will:
- Safely work within high profile locations in the Port Macquarie area maintaining to a high standard.
- Prepare grounds for events such as markets, weddings and community events
- Manage and schedule parks maintenance activities including mowing and asset maintenance
- Manage a small team of up to 6 staff
- Respond to safety/ urgent issues when required
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent 38 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,129.80 with the opportunity for competency based progression
Benefits: Fortnightly RDO, discounted gym membership, career development opportunities, PPE provided, annual salary increase set as per the Local Government (State) Award 2020 plus competency based salary reviews, long service leave after 5 years and employee assistance program.
Vehicle: A Tool of Trade Vehicle option is available to the successful candidate.
